ZOC2070 – A Venture for International Women’s Day

On 08 March 2022, ANDIE, GAP and the Bandra SHE-link group geared up to ‘ZOC!’ nearly 100 lady teachers in a fun-filled evening with a purpose.

Our Chief Guest was Mrs. Sandra Shroff, the Vice Chairman of United Phosphorus Ltd. (UPL). Bishop Barthol Barretto, Bishop-in-charge of the Women’s Cells for the Archdiocese of Bombay, was our Guest of Honour.

Keeping in mind the theme, guests were placed in teams with innovative names: the Coal-ified, the Coal-est, the Coal-laborators and the Coal-inators. To break the ice, all the guests participated in innovative ZOCcer games created by our host, Ms. Suzie D’Silva. Each game ended with vital learnings like ‘chuck the coal’, and ‘harness solar power’.

Fr. Magi Murzello then welcomed Mrs. Shroff and apprised the audience about the purpose of the ZOC venture. She was then felicitated by a beautiful painting in gond style by Dr. Omkar Bhatkar. Ms. Tarini Gracias, the creative teen behind the design of the ZOC2070 logo, was felicitated as well.

In an interactive session with the audience, Mrs. Shroff, a staunch supporter of the environment, shared how she has incorporated eco-friendliness in her home and workplace.

The evening ended with the ZOC2070 anthem being sung and performed by everyone. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and returned home with the ZOC2070 goodie bag to remind them of their journey towards achieving the goal of an environmentally friendly planet Earth.
