Curiosity is what creates creativity: Fr. Magi Murzello
"I was so impressed by all the reports of the school. When we in Mumbai heard about Palghar... a college being set up there... we were very skeptical. But today, when I look around, you have gone beyond us. Amazing! Congratulations! I’m really impressed. I saw the building and surroundings. I want to go back and tell my friends in the academic circle, in the Senate, that go and see the miracle out here. Amazing! Coming back to what I said... Are you bored? Some of you may feel very unpleasant. Is it father was boring? No. What I’m trying to get across is boredom is good for education. When we are bored, we move on to something. We don’t keep playing the same game. Once we have mastered it, we move to something else. And that’s what I’m saying. Boredom is good for us. You ask the educators out here... they will tell you that knowing that your lectures will be dry, knowing they have worked hard to simplify it, to make it more appealing for you. And that is why, my dear students, I want you to be bored sometimes. Don’t do the same thing. Be curious. I’m not saying stay bored. I’m saying stay curious. That is what brings out creativity. That is the first point I want to make... stay curious. Ask questions and question the answers given to you. The second point that I want to make is appreciation. Please appreciate the educators out here. Please appreciate them because the awards that you’re getting is because of their hard work." said Fr. Magi Murzello, Rector and Trustee of St. Andrew’s Educational Foundation, Bandra.
Fr. Magi Murzello was the chief guest at the annual function of St. John College organised on Friday, 27 January 2023 at St. John Institute of Engineering College campus at Manor Veruru, Palghar district.
